A ban is in order

Dear Editor:

Seems there is some bad news lately regarding climate change. Imagine, most of the carbon that we 7 billion people throw into the air stays there for 100 years. Who knew?

So, for the second time now, I am urging you to take more action and make a powerful statement to the world by banning the sale and use of outdoor, fossil-fuel heaters. Glen Peters, of the Center for International Climate and Environmental Research, recently said that the only way to deal with this problem is to start reducing world emissions now and “throw everything we have at the problem.”

And if it is illegal to ban the sale and use of outdoor, fossil-fuel heaters, make a bigger statement by banning the sale and use of outdoor, fossil-fuel heaters. And if some neanderthal Koch brother pays for a lawsuit challenging this law, “go to the mattresses.”

God’s creation is not ours to burn.

Tom Mooney
