A bad attitude

Re: Parking employees

In your front page article on Dec. 3 about the parking fee increases (“Parking now costs more,”), I couldn’t help commenting on Tim Ware’s (the head of the Parking Department) quote about the complaint about the tree that was removed to make room for a new meter on Main St. He said “It’s our property, not yours.” Am I confused? Isn’t public land owned by the tax paying public? This is the kind of condescending attitude which seems to permeate thru all of the employees of the Parking Dept.. Now I can see where this attitude comes from.
