5Point organizers thank partners

Dear Editor:

On April 26 through 29, we produced our fifth annual 5Point Film Festival in Carbondale. In five short years this festival has grown from a small local event into a world-class film festival that attracts the best adventure athletes, artists and filmmakers to our little slice of paradise. We have become a pilgrimage for adventurous spirits and the kickoff to the summer season in the Roaring Fork Valley.

We didn’t get here alone. Countless individuals have poured so much of their time and energy into this festival. This truly is the result of a community coming together to make 5Point great.

To the boards of trustees and commissioners to our local business partners, CCAH, Moms for Moms, the Friends of 5Point, i3 Graphic Design, the 90-plus volunteers who help bring all of the pieces together and every person who bought a ticket to share in the wonder, we owe a deep and sincere debt of gratitude. Your devotion is humbling, and we are truly grateful to live in such an energized and supportive community.

We’re already planning next year’s festival and promise to make April 25 through 28, 2013, a weekend to remember.

Justin Clifton, Julie Kennedy

and Jake Marty
