1A affects us all
As an active member of the Pitkin County Senior Services Council and a proud resident of our community, I am asking all Pitkin County voters to support the Healthy Community Fund and vote yes on question 1A.
The Healthy Community Fund is a dedicated property tax creating a stable source of funding for our health and human services and community nonprofit organizations offering vital resources to the residents and workers of Pitkin County. This small but powerful tax supports programs including, but not limited to, mental health counseling for individuals and families, senior activities to promote independence and quality of life, and hospice care for the terminally ill and their families. Most of us know a friend, neighbor or co-worker who directly benefits from this dedicated property tax.
Please vote yes on 1A and remember that this is a mail-in election, so ballots must be received by the Pitkin County Clerk and Recorder’s office by Tuesday, Nov. 1.

Volunteers are being sought by the city and county to serve on the Aspen-Pitkin County Housing Authority board. Over a dozen people have applied so far and today is the deadline.
