You have all been expecting that fine new automobile that Ted Cooper went to Denver to purchase and many saw it yesterday as Ted and Thomas Flynn, Jr. drove up Main street at a comfortable rate, looking experienced in all the “ins-and-outs” of the chauffeur, about 4:30, having made the run from Denver, since Wednesday, which considering all kinds of weather and roads and the fact that this is a new machine it is a fine record. Both Ted and Thomas are well “browned.” The machine is a fine 22 horse-power Buick and may be speeded up to forty-five miles an hour. That it is “taking like hotcakes” is plainly evident from its popularity last evening. While Ted has not said so, we understand his machine is for hire at reasonable rates. We were wondering how to drive away the “quiet” next week – Ted has unconsciously furnished the remedy – that fine, five-seated auto – it can simply “fly” and can also give you plenty of “toot-toot” music, if there be danger in sight. Here’s to Ted and his new Buick. (Sunday, Aug. 5)
