Mountain Mayhem: Summer Fun

Despite the pandemic putting a damper on traditional celebrations, small gatherings are still a great way to mark birthdays, holidays and everyday occasions. Stephanie Thurston was the guest of honor at a small birthday gathering at Wagner Park then Aspen Pie Shop on Friday, June 26. Denise Zubrod celebrated her 50th at Ajax Tavern on Sunday, June 27, surrounded by friends with live bluegrass in the background. Former Aspenite Rebecca Cole who moved to Boulder to work for Rocky Mountain Institute returned to town to ring in her 5-0 with friends at Mollie Gibson Park on Monday, July 6. And countless other small gatherings continue to take place, keeping us all connected in this uncertain era.
