Mountain Mayhem: Lovebirds

Each year on the 14th of February, the world celebrates Valentine’s Day and the tradition of expressing affection for loved ones. In some cases, it’s celebrated with simple gestures such as exchanging Valentines — both paper and digital. It’s estimated that more than 150 million cards are sent on Valentine’s Day, making it the second-most popular holiday after Christmas. For the happy couples featured in this week’s photo spread, each has a unique story of how they came together, though all share the same sentiment that their bond makes every day even better.
