Taylor Stafford happily said “yes” to her beau, Daragh Kneeshaw, when he got down on one knee on Sept. 6 and asked for her hand in marriage.

He popped the question on Nantucket, a tiny, isolated island off Cape Cod, Massachusetts, known for its pink and blue hydrangeas, unpainted cedar-shingled buildings and dune-backed beaches, knowing it was her “favorite place ever.”

“I grew up going to Nantucket my whole life and used to live and work there in the summers,” she said.

Located on the southeastern shore of the island, “Madequecham Beach where we got engaged is a beach I grew up going to and where I always take Daragh for a dip when he arrives on Nantucket. It’s become a tradition to go there together.”

The soon-to-be-married pair lives and works in Aspen. Taylor is originally from Connecticut and Daragh is from New Jersey with a long line of relatives in Ireland. She is the marketing manager at and he is an event marketing manager for Aspen-Snowmass.

They’re currently on a “wedding venue hunting trip” in Lake George, New York, where they plan to tie the knot. It’s a special place to the Kneeshaw family from many summers there together.
