Mountain Mayhem: Aspen for the Holidays
There’s no shortage of places to shop, wine, dine, ski, après-ski and celebrate the holidays in Aspen this December. From pop-up shops to cocktail receptions to snow polo competition, it’s been a whirlwind and we’re only partway through the festive season!
Italian fashion brand Loro Piana is presenting an “Aspen Home for the Holidays” pop-up in The Aspen Times Room at Hotel Jerome from Monday, December 13, to Tuesday, December 21. The full breadth of the brand was highlighted, showcasing Loro Piana’s Interiors Collection including furniture, poufs, blankets, pillows, and more. “We love color, color is strength,” said Francesco Pergamo, director of Loro Piana Interiors who alongside Claudia Cividino, CEO for the North America division, described the new designs and their connection to nature.
The Little Nell Tree Lighting took place on Sunday, December 12, followed by The St. Regis Aspen’s Tree Lighting on Saturday, December 18, drawing families, friends, locals and out-of-towners alike for the festive gatherings.
Holiday parties, potlucks and gift exchanges have made a grand return. A popular concoction I discovered at a recent get-together was NUTRL Vodka’s cranberry seltzer made with vodka, seltzer and fruit juice, which made the rounds at our White Elephant exchange.
For the eighth consecutive year, Aspen Valley Polo Club owners Melissa and Marc Ganzi, hosted The St. Regis World Snow Polo Championship along with polo ambassador and St. Regis Connoisseur Nacho Figueras and his wife, Delfina on Saturday, December 18, and Sunday, December 19. The glitz, glamour and excitement took center stage at one of the world’s top snow polo tournaments and only snow polo event in North America.
