Justice Snow’s Americana Music Series back for March
The Americana Music Series is returning to Justice Snow’s for the month of March, with two free weekly concerts.
The series runs every Wednesday and Sunday night through March 29, from 9 p.m. to midnight, along with select Sunday brunch performances. All of the shows are free and open to the public.
The restaurant and bar’s music curator Brad Manosevitz focused on showcasing women’s voices in this edition of the series, which began in 2014. He describes the March shows as “a chance to showcase talented female singers and songwriters and a celebration of music that is distinctly American.”
This year’s featured guests include local artists Suzzanne Paris, Michael Jude and John Michel (March 5), Let them Roar (March 12, 22 and 26), and Pearl & Wood (March 19).
Justice Snow’s is collaborating with Nate Hancock and the Declaration, who will be performing four of the nine nights at the restaurant and backing several featured guests. On the nights that Nate Hancock plays, female singer-songwriters will play for 30 minutes during the set break, and then be joined by Nate Hancock and the Declaration for an onstage collaboration. Jill Cohn will be the featured artist on Sunday, March 26 and Meaghan Owens is featured March 29
The March 12 show will be a tribute to the Grateful Dead, featuring “Dead professor” and longtime local musician John Carlin.
