Deadmau5 to premiere new cube at Belly Up Aspen
The technical marvel that is the Deadmau5 “cube” has long been the visual signature of the mouse-head-wearing DJ’s shows. On Thursday, when the EDM superstar and Aspen regular returns to Belly Up, his new high-definition video stage setup – dubbed the “Other Cube” (following the original, Cube 2.0 and Cube 2.2) – will make its world premiere.
Deadmau5 drew global attention last month when he posted a photo of the under-construction cube on Twitter and announced that it would be coming soon, boasting that it would be “64% more club/intimate venue ready.”
This week he and the Belly Up team shared this video teasing the new cube:
Deadmau5 headlines Belly Up on Thursday, Feb. 15 and Friday, Feb. 16. Friday’s show is sold out. Tickets for Thursday are $130 for general admission and $280 for reserved seats and are available at the Belly Up box office and http://www.bellyupaspen.com.
