Showcasing new work by 10 local painters, the Aspen Chapel Gallery will open “Contemporary Landscapes” on Wednesday.
An opening reception with the artists will run from 5 to 7 p.m.
The exhibition will include work by Staci Dickerson, Marcia Fusaro, Steve Lock, Carol Loewenstern, Mary Noone, Kathy Peters, Michael Raaum, Jill Sabella, and Lisa Singer. Jocelyn Audette, who curated the show, also will have work on display in the revered local gallery.
“Spanning abstract to representational, 10 fine local artists interpret the landscape in a contemporary manner,” Audette said. “I’m excited to see the diverse ways that our amazing world can be captured in paint.”
The show is the 196th in the gallery since it opened 32 years ago, and follows the well-received “Broad Perspectives.”
