The Aspen Chapel Gallery will open a new exhibition of watercolors by local artists Wednesday. Titled “Summer Light” and curated by Amy Beidleman, the show will run through Aug. 27.

Participating artists include: Amy Beidleman, Joan Engler, Doug Graybeal, Kristen Jensen, Heidi Johns, Linda Loeschen, Laurie McBride Judy Milne, Gaard Moses and Lee Shaprio.

“The light in summer is so conducive to watercolor painting. Whether you’re painting en plein air or in your studio, it is a big factor in how you approach your art. The variety of subjects from this group of artists is extraordinary.”

An opening reception Wednesday will run from 5 to 7 p.m.
