5Point Film announces Aspen program for January screenings

Carbondale’s 5Point Film Festival will present two nights of adventure films next month at the Wheeler Opera House at the nonprofit’s annual Aspen program.

Titles will include a Jan. 19 screening of the full-length feature “Bikes of Wrath” on Jan. 18. The cycling odyssey premiered at 5Point in May and went on to win the People’s Choice Award at the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival.

On Jan. 18, the festival will screen 10 short films including a behind-the-scenes movie about the making of the Alex Honnold documentary “Free Solo” and “Make Winter Great Again” by Aspen Middle School student Bodhi Yang.

Tickets go on sale today at the Wheeler Opera House and aspenshowtix.com.
