We can all get along

One of the great strengths of the Roaring Fork Valley lies in its mix of cultural institutions, which make it such a rich environment for residents and visitors alike.

As a longtime partner in the valley, the Aspen Music Festival and School considers it important, particularly in these challenging times, for our nonprofit cultural organizations to support each other and to work together for the good of the whole.

As you may be aware, we have had concerns about the Jazz Aspen Snowmass June concerts taking place in Aspen’s Rio Grande Park. We believe, however, that the best thing now, as summer grows closer, is for us to pull together and be helpful in regard to JAS’ situation this June. The Music Festival and School is an organization built upon a love of music, and surely it is the spirit of music to bring people together, despite any differences, and to create a sense of community.

In that spirit, we wish JAS and all our fellow arts groups all greatest success, and everyone in Aspen a great summer.
