In today’s America, the middle class takes it up the a— while the Pentagon, Wall Street and the billionaires get a pass?

As long as lobbying is legal, why is legislation and policy written by big money? Where does Michelle Obama have lunch? General Dynamics central?

How many wars are we in?

In regards to Bruno Kirchenwitz’s letter to Warren Klug, who ACRA has appointed our feudal laird, it is a message People 4 a Living Wage has been unsuccessfully communicating to billionaires James and Paula Crown: Love your neighbor. After all, we are a town of 7,000. Why not be socially responsible and not simply about the bottom line? The elites know one word well: M$RE.

As Aspen has morphed from the Athens of America into the uber-wealthy’s Emerald City, their own Versailles, when will the glitz, glamour, and fabulosity take a back seat to fair wages above poverty level for its citizens?

At every community event I attend, someone comes up to me and their anger is palpable.

Was it not JFK who famously said, “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable?” It’s time to be true to Aspen’s past: Pulitzer Prize winning author Chris Hedges last month suggested that the story must begin again here in America.
