ASPEN ” Carbondale skier Peter Olenick finished just out of contention for the finals in men’s skiing slopestyle competition Sunday at the Winter X Games at Buttermilk.

Monaco’s Jon Olsson placed first in the qualifier, followed by Oregon’s Sammy Carlson and Canadian Charles Gagnier.
