Lead King Loop trail run set for Sept. 15

The regional running scene will offer a variety of fall events.

The 10th anniversary of the Lead King Loop race in the Marble area will be marked with the 2013 event on Sunday, Sept. 15.

The scenic run/hike into Lead King Basin is a benefit for the Marble Charter School.

There will be a 25-kilometer trail run, a 12.5-mile trail option and a kids 2.5K.

All participants will receive a tech T-shirt, a pint glass, barbecue lunch and will earn entry to the event raffle.

The course for the event, from Marble up into the spectacular high-mountain basin, has been voted the most scenic in Colorado.

In addition to raising funds for the school, the mission of the event is to promote awareness of the Marble Charter School and its options for students.
