Leafs hockey loses three
The Aspen Leafs U20 Tier 3 junior hockey team took a step back in its second weekend of action, going 0-3 in a three-game series at the Pikes Peak Miners in Colorado Springs. In Friday’s series opener, the Leafs lost 8-0 despite outshooting the Miners. Saturday, Aspen lost 6-2 and Sunday lost 4-3 in overtime.
Aspen drops to 2-3 overall with the losses and will play a two-game series at Steamboat Springs this weekend. The Leafs host their first home game a week from Friday.
