Tickets are still available for the first Aspen Sports Summit, a two-day educational program with a focus on health, fitness and sports medicine.

Bill Fabrocini of the Aspen Club said tickets for the event, set for Friday and Saturday at the Aspen Meadows, are still available.

Ticket information for the Aspen Sports Summit is available online at http://www.aspensports summit.com. A complete schedule of the all-star lineup of speakers also is available online.

“The Aspen Sports Summit represents a unique concept in bringing together the leaders in the field of health, fitness and sports medicine,” Fabrocini said. “The common goal is providing an interactive learning experience while benefiting philanthropic causes.”

The two-day sports summit will benefit the Mercy and Sharing Rehabilitation Center to support abandoned and disabled children of Haiti.

It also will benefit the Marshall Direct Fund, with a mission to provide education and economic opportunities for youth and young women in Pakistan.

Fabrocini said the Aspen Sports Summit will include presentations on sports performance, concussions, back and hip pain, fitness innovation and more.

“We have lots of amazing speakers coming,” Fabrocini said. “The highlight presenters include Dr. James Kelly, one of the foremost experts in America on concussion.”

Fabrocini said the concussion issue is particularly timely in youth and high school sports as well as college and professional sports.

He said the Aspen Sports Summit program on concussions would be valuable for coaches and trainers at all levels as well as interested parents.

The session on back pain and hip pain also will include discussions of recent developments and the recent proliferation of hip-replacement surgeries.

Other seminar topics will address innovation in the world of sports fitness.

In addition, nutrition will be covered in the seminar, which can produce 1.2 continuing-education units for participants, including certification from the American Council on Exercise, the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Another speaker in the lineup is Greg Roskopf, the developer of Muscle Activation Techniques. He is know for his work with Peyton Manning and other NFL players as well as players with the Denver Nuggets.

Renowned spine surgeon Dr. Donald S. Corenman of Vail will make a presentation.

Fitness training CEO Kevin Laferriere also will speak along with pilates expert P.J. O’Clair.

Cost of the two-day Aspen Sports Summit is $199 in advance.
