The Snowmass Wildcat Fire Protection District responded to the following calls from Jan. 12 through 18.

Jan. 12



Fire alarm at 400 Wood Road, the Crestwood Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.

Fire alarm at 229 Ridge Road, the Ridge Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by steam from multiple humidifiers.




Medical call at 105 Daly Lane, the Snowmass Clinic, for a person suffering from bilateral leg injuries and an upper arm injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Medical call at 35 Upper Woodbridge Road for a person who had fallen and was experiencing stomach pain. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Fire alarm at 100 Elbert Lane, the Westin hotel, in the seventh-floor housekeeping hallway. The alarm system was activated by a possible malfunction, as no smoke or fire conditions were present.

Fire alarm at 640 Carriage Way, second floor. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.

Medical call at 130 Wood Road, the Viceroy Snowmass, for a person suffering from chest pain and vomiting. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Medical call at 130 Wood Road, the Viceroy, for a person suffering from abdominal pain. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Jan. 13

Fire alarm at 299 Faraway Road, the Ridge Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by steam from too many humidifiers in the unit.

Medical call to the Snowmass Clinic, for a person suffering from a neck injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Medical call to the Snowmass Clinic for a person suffering from a left lower leg injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Fire alarm at the Westin. The alarm system was activated by steam from the laundry room.

Fire alarm at 600 Carriage Way, the Aspenwood Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by a possible malfunction, as no carbon monoxide or fire conditions were present.

Fire alarm at a home on the Ridge of Wildcat. The alarm system was accidentally activated. No fire conditions were present.

Jan. 14

Medical call to a home on Two Creeks Drive for a person who had fallen. One person was evaluated at the scene and refused transportation to the hospital.

Medical call at 198 Gallun Lane, the ski-patrol pickup location, for a person suffering from a wrist injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Medical call at 105 Daly Lane, a ski-patrol pickup location, for a person suffering from an arm injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Medical call at the Snowmass Clinic for a person suffering from a fractured leg. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Jan. 15

Fire alarm at 690 Carriage Way, the Timberline Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.

Medical call at the Snowmass Clinic for a person suffering from a back injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Medical call at the Timbers ski-patrol pickup location for a person suffering from a head injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Jan. 16

Fire alarm at the Crestwood Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.

Medical call at the Gallun Lane ski-patrol pickup location for a person suffering from an altered level of consciousness and a bloody nose. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Medical call at 105 Daly Lane, the Snowmass Clinic, for a person suffering from shortness of breath. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Public assist at a home on Sinclair Road.

Jan. 17

Fire alarm at the Crestwood Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.

Medical call at the Snowmass Clinic for a person suffering from a left hip fracture. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Medical call at the Gallun Lane ski-patrol pickup location for a person suffering from an altered level of consciousness and a head injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Fire alarm at 105 Burlingame Lane. A crew was working on the alarm system and forgot to put it in test mode.

Jan. 18

Mutual aid requested by Aspen Ambulance to respond to the Highlands ski-patrol pickup location for a person suffering from a back injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Fire alarm at 70 Commons Circle. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.

Medical call at a home on Brush Creek Road for a person suffering from an unknown medical condition creating abdominal pain. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Fire alarm at the Crestwood Condominiums. The alarm system was activated by a cooking error.

Fire call to 640 Carriage Way for a smell of smoke. The smoke smell was caused by a possible downdraft from a fireplace. No other fire conditions were found.
