Basalt Fire Department emergency calls

Following are the fire and medical calls that Basalt Fire Department responded to between Jan. 4 and Jan. 17.

Jan. 4 at 9:58 a.m. — An ambulance was called to Sopris Creek Road for a sick woman. She was transported to the hospital.

Jan. 5 at 10:17 a.m. — An ambulance was called to Fryingpan Road for a one-vehicle rollover. No occupants were injured.



Jan. 6 at 1:22 p.m. — Firefighters were called to Midland Avenue for a vehicle gasoline leak. They contained the gas.

Jan. 6 at 3:25 p.m. — Firefighters were called to Willits Town Center for a dumpster fire. They suppressed the fire.




Jan. 6 at 4:56 p.m. — An ambulance was called to mile marker 24 on Highway 82 for a woman with potential injuries for a car accident. She was assessed on scene and released.

Jan. 6 at 6:17 p.m. — An ambulance was called to Pinon Drive for a man with seizure-like symptoms. He was assessed on scene and released.

Jan. 7 at 6:51 a.m. — An ambulance was called to mile marker 27 on Highway 82 for a car accident. No one was injured.

Jan. 7 at 12:56 p.m. — An ambulance was called to Highway 82 at Snowmass Canyon for a one-car rollover. No one was injured.

Jan. 7 at 2:43 p.m. — An ambulance was called to Jody Road for a sick man. He was transported to the hospital.

Jan. 7 at 4:10 p.m. — The Basalt Fire Department provided mutual aid to the Carbondale Fire Department for an incident in Missouri Heights.

Jan. 8 at 6:15 p.m. — An ambulance was called to Missouri Heights for a sick man. He was transported to the hospital.

Jan. 8 at 7:30 p.m. — An ambulance was called to Cody Lane for a child with a back injury. She was transported to the hospital.

Jan. 9 at 12:58 p.m. — Firefighters were called to Lower River Road for a house fire. Responders ensured the fire was out.

Jan 9 at 3:34 p.m. — An ambulance was called to East Valley Road for a sick woman. She was transported to the hospital.

Jan. 10 at 8:30 a.m. — Firefighters were called to Missouri Heights for a report of smoke. A homeowner was burning woodpiles with a valid permit and no assistance was needed.

Jan. 10 at 12:28 p.m. — An ambulance was called to El Jebel for a man who suffered injuries in a fall. He was transported to the hospital.

Jan. 10 at 5:34 p.m. — An ambulance was called to Lazy Glen for a man with an injured leg. He was transported to the hospital.

Jan. 10 at 9:40 p.m. — An ambulance was called to Basalt for an unresponsive woman. She was transported to the hospital.

Jan 11 at 9:43 a.m. — Basalt Fire Department provided mutual aid to Carbondale Fire Department for an incident in Missouri Heights.

Jan. 12 at 9:19 a.m. — An ambulance was called to Allison Lane for a man with back injuries. He was transported to the hospital.

Jan. 12 at 6:13 p.m. — Firefighters were called to Fryingpan Road for a trail home on fire. The homeowner used a fire extinguisher to snuff the blaze before it caused damage. Firefighters checked to make sure the fire didn’t spread in an interior wall and installed a smoke detector in the residence.

Jan. 15 at 6:55 a.m. — An ambulance was called to El Jebel for a car accident. There were no injuries.

Jan. 16 at 3:55 p.m. — An ambulance was called to Fryingpan Road for a sick woman. She was transported to the hospital.

Jan. 16 at 7:31 p.m. — Firefighters were called to mile marker 24.5 on Highway 82 for a car accident that caused hazardous fluids to leak. The leaks were suppressed and the hazards were mitigated.

Jan. 17 at 10:55 a.m. — An ambulance was called to Lewis Lane for a sick woman. She was assessed on scene and released.

Jan. 17 at 12:24 p.m. — An ambulance was called to Sopris Creek Road for a man with a possible broken hip. He was transported to the hospital.

Jan. 17 at 4:22 p.m. — An ambulance was called to downtown Basalt for a woman with facial trauma. He was transported to the hospital.
