On The Hill: Powder high, corn in the middle, slush below
April 13, 2014
VIDEO: Aspen Times mountain correspondent Corby Anderson delivers his daily video conditions report almost-live from Aspen Mountain.
Aspen official report: 0″ of new snow overnight, 0″ in the past 48 hours, and 6″ in the past week.
Aspen Times field report: Snow is coming down hard and fast, so visibility is pretty limited this afternoon. It is pretty cold and wet out, so plan accordingly. Definitely a goggle day.
Liftline status: Aspen Mountain is pretty well vacant today. No surprise why, with Highlands closing day going completely off. No telling what the lines are like over there…weird, I am guessing.
Snowcast: Frequent rain and snow showers. Some thunder is also possible. High near 41. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
Tonight: Rain and snow showers before 1am, then scattered snow showers. Some thunder is also possible. Low around 17. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 37. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north northwest in the afternoon.
Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 18. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest after midnight.
