Joseph Lacasse, 85, was born March 27, 1921, in Fugerville, Ontario, to Jean and Marie (Raymond) Lacasse. He passed away Monday, Dec. 25, 2006, at Glen Valley Care.

Leo had been an area resident for the past 35 years. Leo is survived by his son, Joseph Lacasse Jr.; daughter, Leona Lacasse; brothers, Alexander Lacasse, Nils Lacasse, Michelle Lacasse, Jeannot Lacasse and Robert Lacasse; sisters, Delores Aril, Anita Le Duc, Laetitia Vaillamp, Gaetane Julien and Ghyslaine Lacasse; grandchildren, Naomi Nobbie and Miranda Geissel; and great-granddaughter, Isabella Nobbie.

There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2006, at Thomasville Fire Station on Frying Pan Road; a potluck luncheon will follow. The Rev. Marie Gasau will officiate.
