Frisch campaign party set in Aspen

ASPEN – Aspen City Councilman Adam Frisch will hold a mayoral campaign launch party Wednesday at Brunelleschi’s restaurant, 205 S. Mill St., starting at 5 p.m.

Frisch was elected to a four-year term on the council in 2011. He announced his bid for mayor on Sunday. Current Mayor Mick Ireland, who is serving his third consecutive term, cannot seek re-election to the post because of term limits.

Councilmen Steve Skadron and Torre also have formally declared that they will run for mayor. The election will be held May 7.

Frisch, 45, is a Minnesota native and a former Wall Street currency trader. He moved to Aspen in 2003.
