David Nesslein Jr.

The Aspen Times
Aspen CO Colorado

My beautiful son departed this earthly plane quite suddenly on September 22, 2012 at the age of 26 leaving family and friends shocked and saddened beyond belief. Always with a smile and laugh, he was able to find humor in all situations. David’s life was just beginning, and his future was bright, when his journey was so unexpectedly interrupted. We know that David is now in a beautiful serene place with his mother and grandparents who adored him. His spirit will remain in our hearts and forever we will mourn our loss. David attended Vanguard School in Coconut Grove, Rivera Day School in Coral Gables, and graduated from Columbus High School in Miami. He was also a graduate of Barry University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He loved driving and restoring his cars, especially his beloved vintage VW Beetle and CJ5 Jeep. He also enjoyed his family’s home in Aspen, Colorado spending his time snowboarding and off-roading, along with all the family fun that took place there over the years. It was his intention to permanently relocate to Colorado and live the outdoor lifestyle. As a young boy, David was active in scouting and a member of Troop 64 in Coral Gables. Each summer he also attended camp Timberlake in Black Mountain, NC, eventually becoming a camp counselor and kayaking expert during the summer months. David, a 24 year resident of Coconut Grove relocated to Jacksonville, Florida where he spent the last two years pursing a career in retail electronics. He leaves to cherish loving memories his father, David Andrew Nesslein Sr. and his partner Annie Dyas, his step mother Laura L.
