Beer Garden boosts Spring Board
July 2, 2009
Spring Board Donor Advised Fund of Aspen Community Foundation would like to extend a huge thank-you to everyone who made the Ride the Rockies New Belgium beer garden on June 18 a great experience. Spring Board organized the beer garden for the city of Aspen and, in return, was the local nonprofit recipient of the beer proceeds for the day, and we are happy to announce that the day was a big success! Spring Board’s mission is to engage the young generation of the Roaring Fork Valley and empower them to invest in their community through charitable giving and volunteerism. All of the day’s proceeds will be granted out to other nonprofits in the valley.
Spring Board would like to thank the following individuals and organizations for all their help and support: Nancy Lesley and Sandy Doebler with the city of Aspen for the opportunity and all their help in organizing the beer garden; Scott Hinkson and Nat Ross of New Belgium Brewing Co.; Ashley Cantrell with the city of Aspen for the use of “Sunny the Solar Roller” to power part of the event; Cameron Williams and Jes Grew for providing live entertainment; Rob Ittner of Rustique for the delicious food booth; Blake Fitch with city of Aspen parking; Jeff Woods and Tom Rubel with city of Aspen Parks and Recreation; Paul Menter and everyone at the Aspen Community Foundation, and last, but certainly not least, all of the willing and energetic volunteers who made the day not only a monetary success for Spring Board, but also a fun and inviting activity for the Ride the Rockies riders!
Many thanks to the community for hosting the Ride the Rockies riders and helping to welcome them at the beer garden!
