Aspen wants input on future of museum building
Ryan Summerlin February 21, 2013
ASPEN – The city of Aspen is seeking input on what to do about the building currently occupied by the Aspen Art Museum off North Mill Street.
The museum expects to vacate the grounds and building, which the city owns, in fall 2014. A new structure for the museum is under construction at the corner of East Hyman Avenue and South Spring Street in downtown Aspen.
On its website, the city asks, “What would you like to see the museum building and grounds used for in the future?”
Those who would like to contribute ideas may visit the website www.aspenpitkin.com and click on the “Open City Hall” link.
The comments will be the start of a public process regarding the future of the city asset.
