The workers had been told by the suspects that they were staying at the Aspen Meadows, prompting police to pay a visit to the west Aspen lodge. There, police met with the two suspects and found a 41⁄5-inch knife on the person of Dennis, leading to the concealed weapon charge. Police also found a marijuana pipe on Dennis and a bag of alleged mushrooms in their unit at the Meadows, and another bag of marijuana, according to an affidavit for a warrantless arrest.Hollingshead faces at least one charge – theft.
