Anyone who considers themselves an Aspen local must read the first offering by true local Tom Elder, “It’s All About the Timing.”
Following the “Quiet Years,” it fictionally chronicles, sometimes scathingly, the change of old, casual Aspen into the complex megabucks resort it is today. If you want to bitch about “the good ole days,” it’s here in print for you with many of our current residents not so thinly disguised. It’s also about how some of us old fa*** are learning to grow older, gracefully or not. You can find it at Explore Booksellers on Main Street.
