Aspen official report: Glenwood Canyon was carved centuries ago by the mighty Colorado River as it plummets down from the high country towards the high desert. With sheer rock walls rising up 1,300 feet overhead, the experience of riding atop the green waters of the Colorado through the canyon is simply breathtaking. It also happens to be one of the most relaxing things one can do on an early August weekday.
