Aspen official report: Mount Diablo is like the Mount Sopris of the San Francisco Bay Area - girthy and visible from far afield. Named by Spanish Missionaries who believed it to be possessed, the mountain has one of the largest viewsheds in the West, with Mount Lassen (181 miles to the north) clearly visible on a good day.

Aspen Times roving mountain correspondent Corby Anderson takes the viewers on another "On The Road with Corby" segment as he hikes the high peak of his youth on a warm summer day.
