Basalt Fire Department calls, May 25-31

Editor’s note: Following are the fire and medical calls that Basalt Fire Department responded to between May 25 and Saturday.

May 25 at 1:02 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a shed on fire on Walter Road in Emma. The fire was quickly extinguished. The cause was determined to be a lightning strike from a fast-moving storm that rolled through the valley.

May 25 at 10:53 p.m. — An ambulance was called for a woman who fell while running. The patient was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

May 26 at 4:10 p.m. — An ambulance was called to Cerise Ranch for a female with a broken arm due to a trampoline accident. Medics treated her and released her to the care of her family for transport to the hospital.

May 28 at 11:23 a.m. — Firefighters were called to Blue Lake for a fire alarm. The call was canceled when it was determined to be a false alarm.

May 30 at 10:35 a.m. — Firefighters were called to a residence on Dutch Drive for a gas alarm. An investigation showed cleaning supplies triggered the alarm.

May 30 at 10:41 a.m. — An ambulance was called to Southside Drive for a woman who had fainted. The woman was treated on the scene with no transport to the hospital.

May 30 at 11:29 a.m. — An ambulance was called to Basalt Middle School for a boy with a finger injury from scissors. He was transported to the hospital for treatment.

May 30 at 3:16 p.m. — An ambulance was called to Sopris Drive for a woman with back pain. She was transported to the hospital for further care.

May 30 at 10:51 p.m. — An ambulance was called to JW Drive for a man with abdominal pain. He was transported to the hospital for further care.

Saturday at 12:59 p.m. — An ambulance was called to El Jebel for a woman with difficulty breathing. She was transported to the hospital for further care.
