Mountain Collective Pass goes on sale

Aspen Skiing Co. and five other resorts announced Tuesday that the Mountain Collective ski pass is on sale for $359 for the 2014-15 season.

Skico teamed with Whistler, British Columbia; Jackson Hole, Wyo.; Alta/Snowbird, Utah; Squaw Valley, Calif.; and Mammoth, Calif.; two seasons ago to offer the Mountain Collective Pass. It allows two days of skiing at each of the ski areas and 50 percent off additional days.

New for next season, a third day of skiing will be added to one of the resorts. In addition, people who purchase the pass this spring also will receive two free days at Valle Nevado, Chile, and Thredbo, Australia, this summer.

In addition, the price of a child’s Mountain Collective Pass was reduced to $99 for next season.

“We are excited to launch sales this spring with the inclusion of the bonus day as well as a dramatically lower kid’s price to encourage family adventures,” said Christian Knapp, vice president of marketing for Skico.

Passes are available online through an exclusive technology, distribution and marketing partnership with Liftopia at www.mountaincollective.com. A limited quantity of passes is now available at this lowest guaranteed price.
