Sale closes on Snowmass Club

SNOWMASS VILLAGE - After 23 years, the Snowmass Club is no longer in Aspen Skiing Co. hands.

The sale of the club to Toll Golf, a division of Toll Brothers Inc. that develops and operates golf courses and communities, was finalized March 8, the developer said. The transaction cost the developer $9.1 million, according to the Pitkin County Clerk and Recorder's Office.

The acquisition contract, announced in December, transfers the ownership of all the buildings and operations of the club, including the restaurants, golf course and other amenities. Toll Golf also will manage the privately owned units at the residences, according to a statement.

The Snowmass Club has more than 1,000 members, who now will be able to use the amenities of other Toll Golf clubs for no additional charge.

Toll Golf owns and manages country clubs throughout the country. The Snowmass Club is its first property to own in Colorado.
