ASPEN - Pack your bags, high school basketball fans.It's time to hit the road.The seedings were announced Sunday for the Class 3A Regional Championships. Both Aspen and Basalt will be traveling for next weekend's regional playoffs that will whittle the field of 32 boys teams down to eight by this time next week.The Skiers (18-4) were designated as the No. 16 seed after finishing third in last weekend's Western Slope League District Tournament in Palisade. It was the first time in seven years the Skiers didn't reach the title game.The Aspen boys will take on No. 17 La Junta (16-6) in the first round at regionals in a game at Kent Denver, the No. 1 overall seed and regional host.Kent Denver (21-1) will take on No. 32 Aurora West Prep (8-8) in the first round.The Aspen-La Junta winner will take on the Kent Denver-Aurora West Prep winner in the regional championship Saturday at Kent Denver.Basalt was assigned to the regional hosted by No. 4 overall seed Brush (19-3).The Longhorns (8-14) will take on the host Beetdiggers in the first round.The other first-round game at Brush will send No. 13 Moffat County (18-4) against No. 20 Classical Academy of Colorado Springs (14-8). Moffat County beat Aspen on Friday night in the semifinals of the Western Slope League District Tournament.The Basalt-Brush winner will take on the Moffat County-Classical winner on Saturday.The Roaring Fork boys (19-3) were seeded No. 5 overall, and they will host a four-team regional Friday and Saturday in Carbondale.The Rams will take on No. 28 Middle Park (11-12) at regionals. No. 21 Centauri (15-6) will play No. 21 Faith Christian (12-10) in the other first-round game at Roaring Fork.The No. 2 seed, Colorado Springs Christian (20-2), will host No. 31 Academy (14-8). No. 15 Colorado Academy (15-7) will play No. 18 Pinnacle (14-8) in the other game at Colorado Springs Christian.In other regionals:No. 3 Holy Family (18-4) will host with a first game against No. 30 Buena Vista (7-16). No. 14 Manitou Springs (13-9) will be matched against No. 19 Estes Park (13-9) at the Holy Family regional.No. 6 Alamosa (15-6) will host. The Mean Moose will play No. 27 Clear Creek (15-8). No. 11 Peak to Peak (13-9) will play No. 22 Eaton (13-9) in the other first-round game at Alamosa.No. 7 Pagosa Springs (18-3) will host No. 26 Florence (9-13). No. 10 Greeley University (16-6) will play No. 23 Dolores Huerta, of Pueblo (16-7), at Pagosa Springs.No. 8 Denver Science & Technology (17-5) will host with the first game against No 25 James Irwin (14-7). No. 9 Sterling (18-4) will play No. 24 Jefferson (15-8) at Denver Science.
