SNOWMASS VILLAGE - The Viceroy Hotel Group is launching a chef exchange program, and Snowmass Village will be the first host location.
From Feb. 23 to March 2, Chef Mirko Paderno, of Oliverio Restaurant inside Beverly Hills' Avalon Hotel, will work inside the kitchen of
Eight K. The nightly six-course, wine-pairing prix fixe menu will be available to guests for $150. In addition, Paderno will lead a cooking class at
1 p.m. on March 2 for $75, or $60 for Very Viceroy Cardholders. The class is limited to 24 participants.
To make a dinner reservation or to reserve a spot for the cooking class, call 970-923-8008.
Paderno studied modern Italian cuisine while at the Cesare Ritz School in Merano, Italy, before working under Chef Sergio Mei at the Four Seasons Hotel in Milan. After departing the Four Seasons, he took a position as the executive chef at Piero Selvaggio's Primi in Los Angeles, before continuing on to other Los Angeles Italian eateries such as Celstino Drago, Dolce, Cecconi's, and All' Angelo. From there, he went on to develop and launch Oliverio.
The full Eight K menu will still be available during the exchange.
