Fire Calls, Jan. 16-18

SNOWMASS VILLAGE - The Snowmass-Wildcat Fire Protection District responded to the following 911 calls between Jan. 16 and 18.

January 16:

• Automatic fire alarm at 18 Hidden Lane. The cause of the alarm was smoke from the fireplace.

• Medical call to the Westin Hotel, Unit 101, for a person suffering from difficulty breathing and feeling lethargic. One person was evaluated but refused ambulance transport to the hospital and went by private vehicle instead.

• Medical call to Timbers Ski Patrol pickup point for a person suffering from a possible shoulder dislocation. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital.

• Medical call to Timbers Ski Patrol pickup point for another person suffering from a possible shoulder dislocation. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital.

• Medical call to the Westin Hotel, Unit 645, for a person suffering from difficulty breathing. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital.

• Sprinkler flow alarm at 26 Commons Circle. The cause of the alarm was a broken fire-sprinkler pipe in a storage room. The water was shut off, and the alarm was silenced. A 24-hour fire watch was put into effect until the system was back in service.

• Medical call to Gallun Lane Ski Patrol pickup point for a person suffering from a fast heart rate and possible dehydration. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital.

• Automatic fire alarm at the Season's Four Condos. The cause of the alarm was smoke from a fireplace with the flue closed.

• Automatic fire alarm at the Westin on the seventh and eighth floors. The cause of the alarm was engineering working on the system.

• Dumpster fire at 4000 Brush Creek Road. The fire was extinguished. The cause of the fire was someone discarding ashes into the Dumpster.

• Mutual aid to Aspen Ambulance at 320 S. Galena St. for a person who was hurt on the ground. The call was canceled.

January 17:

• Automatic fire alarm at 135 Carriage Way, Unit 35. The alarm was caused by a cooking error.

• Medical call to the Gallun Lane Ski Patrol pickup point for a person suffering from a shoulder injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital.

• Medical call to the Timbers Ski Patrol pickup point for a person suffering from an elbow injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital.

• Automatic fire alarm at 239 Snowmass Club Circle, the Kids Club. The alarm was caused by a cooking error.

• Medical call to the Timbers Ski Patrol pickup point for a person suffering from a hip injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital.

• Medical call to the Daly Ski Patrol pickup point for a person suffering from a neck injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital.

• Medical call to 115 Daly Lane for a person suffering from a knee injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital.

• Flow alarm at 40 Elbert Lane. The cause of the alarm was a broken sprinkler pipe in the elevator shaft.

• Medical call to 117 Spur Ridge Lane for CPR in progress. The patient was not transported.

January 18:

• Medical call to the Timbers Ski Patrol pickup point for a person suffering from an obvious deformity of the wrist. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital.

• Medical call to the Daly Lane Ski Patrol pickup point for a person who had suffered a loss of consciousness. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital.
