Aspen Camp to install new low ropes course

SNOWMASS VILLAGE --The Aspen Camp for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, in partnership with Roaring Fork Leadership, is planning a new low ropes course installation and invites the community to provide input at an open house Feb. 6 at the camp.

The Aspen Camp lost its previous ropes courses, both high and low, in a spring wind storm last year. Roaring Fork Leadership, an organization dedicated to training community leaders, provided a team from its 2012-13 class to assist in planning and installing a new low ropes course.

The open house is 6-8 p.m. Feb. 6. Guests can meet the Aspen Camp and Roaring Fork Leadership teams, view and comment on the proposed ropes course design or volunteer to help with installation. Snacks and beverages will be provided.

The Aspen Camp is at 4862 Snowmass Creek Road. For more information on the low ropes course project or the open house, visit or call 970-923-2511.
