Fire Calls, Dec. 10-16

SNOWMASS VILLAGE -The Snowmass-Wildcat Fire Protection District responded to the following 911 calls between Dec. 10 and Dec. 16.December 10:• Fire call to 2000 Brush Creek Road for a two car accident. No injuries were reported. The engine company washed down fuel leaking from the vehicles.• Automatic fire alarm to 132 Trail Rider Lane. It was determined that water leaking into a smoke detector had activated the alarm system.December 12:• Automatic aid to Aspen Ambulance for a vehicle accident at 679 Brush Creek Road. One vehicle was found off the road. No one was injured.• Mutual Aid to Aspen Ambulance at 2 Music School Road for a man who had fallen at a construction site. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital.• Automatic fire alarm at 172 Antler Ridge Lane. A smoke detector was activated by overspray from painters. The painters thought it might be a Carbon Monoxide alarm. We checked for carbon monoxide but did not detect any.• Medical call to Daly Patrol Pick-Up area for a person with a hip injury. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital.• Medical call to the Laurelwood Condos for a person who had fainted. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital.December 13:• Pull Station Alarm at 1300 Deerfield Drive. We determined that workers were testing the system.• Flow Alarm at 45 Snowmass Village Mall. We determined that workers touched the tamper switch on the alarm system.• Flow Alarm at 400 Wood Road the Crestwood Condos. We determined that workers were testing the alarm system.• Smoke Alarm & Smell of smoke reported at 214 Deerfield Drive. We determined that a cooking error had activated a smoke detector.• Medical call to 224 Deerfield Drive for a person suffering from difficulty breathing. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital.• Automatic fire alarm at 70 Club Commons Circle. We determined that it was a system malfunction. No smoke or fire conditions were found.December 14:• Automatic fire alarm at 70 Commons Circle. We determined that cooking smoke had activated a smoke detector.• Mutual Aid to Aspen Volunteer Fire Department and Aspen Ambulance on Highway 82 at the west end of the runway for a motor vehicle accident requiring extrication. Our assistance was not needed.• Mutual Aid to Aspen Volunteer Fire Department and Aspen Ambulance at Alpinblick Condos in Aspen for a person suffering from abdominal pain. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital.December 15:• Medical call at the Daly Patrol Pick-Up point for an injured snowboarder. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital.• Automatic fire alarm at the Laurelwood Condominiums. We determined that a cooking error on the second floor had activated a smoke detector.• Medical call to 36 Clubhouse Drive, Club Commons Building II for a person suffering from severe back pain that was causing difficulty breathing. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital.December 16:• Automatic fire alarm at the Crestwood Condo's Unit #2309. We determined that a cooking error had activated a smoke detector.• Medical call to Sunset Ski Rental for a person suffering from back spasms. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital.• Medical call to the Snowmass Skier's Clinic waiting room for a person coughing up blood after falling. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital.• Medical call to the Laurelwood Condo's Unit #115 for a person suffering from altitude sickness symptoms and chest pain. One person was transported to Aspen Valley Hospital.• Medical call to the Snowmass Mountain Condo's Unit #I-5 for a person suffering from a left ankle injury. Transportation to Aspen Valley Hospital was refused. The person went to the hospital in a private vehicle.
