See what international artists are up to

SNOWMASS VILLAGE - Anderson Ranch is hosting its annual holiday open house Dec. 18, and this year guests have the opportunity to see what artists in residence on the campus have been working on for the past 10 weeks.

All studios on the campus will be open from 4:30 to 6:45 p.m. that day.

"It's an opportunity for the community and the public at large to view both finished and works in progress" by the resident artists, said Doug Casebeer, chairman of the residency program.

The program takes place every fall and spring. The 13 artists participating this year hail from all over the country and world, with two of them visiting from Europe. Their last day in residency is next week.

"The holiday show is kind of a culmination of their time here at the Ranch," Casebeer said.

The artists work in a variety of media, from ceramics to photography to painting.

"I think what's unique about the studio tour is the actual individual artistic pursuit," Casebeer said. "The public will be able to see a wide range of artistic development."

Pieces will be available for purchase.
