SNOWMASS VILLAGE - As of Sept. 30, year-over-year booked occupancy is up 0.5 percent for October through March in western mountain destinations, according to a report by the Mountain Travel Research Program.
The booking pace in September was down 3.9 percent overall. There was some fluctuation, however, with reservations taken for October, November and February up and those for December, January and March down.
September occupancy in the mountain communities reporting finished up 3.2 percent over the same month last year. Booked occupancy for October was up 16.9 percent as of Sept. 30, with the average daily rate up 4.6 percent.
The report from MTRiP is based on data from property management companies in 16 mountain destination communities in Colorado, Utah, California and Oregon.
