EL JEBEL — A public meeting to discuss development of a midvalley recreation center will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Eagle County Community Building in El Jebel.
The meeting is being held by the Crown Mountain Park and Recreation District. The district recently approved a $228,000 contract with Greenplay LLC, a firm from Broomfield, to help with planning of the facility and updating the master plan for Crown Mountain Park. Voters approved a temporary property tax increase to fund the planning effort.
The status of the planning efforts to date will be reviewed on Thursday. “Also to be discussed are the alternative locations of the new recreation center and plans for future improvements to Crown Mountain Park,” said a meeting notice.
