BASALT — The Basalt Library staff is urging the public to help out with the facility's grand opening celebration Saturday.
Anyone interested should meet at the old library in Lions Park at 9 a.m. There will be a parade to the new facility by the post office, then a flag raising and ribbon cutting.
The full library staff will then be available to answer questions and demonstrate the new amenities and equipment inside. There will also be a scavenger hunt for kids.
The staff will be giving out reusable bags — for books, shopping, etc. — made from recycled pop bottles. Supplies are limited.
