Alternative prostate cancer treatment

Dear Editor:

More than a year ago my husband was treated for prostate cancer using ultrasound — High Intensity Focused Ultrasound — or HIFU. He is cancer-free today, and thrilled with his perfect treatment outcome.

Your doctor will not tell you about this treatment. It's in clinical trials all over America. However, you can have this treatment by the most experienced HIFU doctor right now by leaving the country. We went to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; you can also go to Nassau, Bahamas. The doctor is S. Scionti, urologist, from NYU; he flies down on weekends to treat men. HIFU is a two- to four-hour procedure with no pain, no hospital time. The chance of any side effect is very, very low, and treatable; incontinence is unheard of.

I personally know a guy who had HIFU more than two years ago whose PSA was 19.0, Gleason's score was 9, and all 12 of his cores were cancerous; today his PSA is 0.1, and he suffered no side effects. Post-HIFU patients always read some PSA as you still have the gland, just no tissue in it.

Google internationalhifu.com. Dr. S. Scionti is also conducting clinical trials using HIFU in radiation failure cases at NYU.
