ASPEN — The city of Aspen and Pitkin County are accepting grant applications from area nonprofits for funding in 2010.
The two governments provide funding support to private 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Grant requests for Pitkin County and the city of Aspen must be applied for separately. The requests are reviewed by citizen grant review committees. Each committee then makes recommendations for funding to their governing body.
For more information or to receive a grant application packet, contact Sheila Babbie in the city Finance Department at 920-5040, or Mitzi Ledingham in the Health and Human Services Department of Pitkin County at 920-5766. The deadline for completed applications is Monday, Aug. 17, at 5 p.m. Grant information also is available at www.aspenpitkin.com/depts/80/. Late applications will not be considered.
