Aspen store contributes to local nonprofit
ASPEN A local retailer contributed 10 percent of its sales revenue made this past holiday weekend to Mountain Rescue Aspen.The founders of Moncler, a high-end manufacturer of outdoor clothing, accessories and equipment, believe that the mountain is the soul of Moncler.
The proceeds will go to helping maintain ongoing education for Mountain Rescues members and the Aspen community, as well as to allow the team to maintain the tools and equipment to help save lives.
A new dental spa experience in Basalt
BASALT Dr. William Wesson DDS has opened a new office at the WIN Health Institute in Basalt. With over 48 years in practice, his holistic and biocompatible credentials, as well as his experience in cosmetic dentistry has won him an invitation to join the wellness team at the WIN Health Institute. The grand opening ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 17 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
February is Childrens Dental Health Month, so in addition to educating families about their dental health, Dr. Wesson is offering free oral health screenings for children up to 16 years old at the party.
Dr. Wesson will be offering a dental spa experience, which includes paraffin dips and facials, and clinical hand and foot massage and reflexology.
Refreshments and snacks will be provided. There will be giveaways, a drawing for a Sonicare toothbrush, teeth cleaning with dental spa, and a one-month gym membership at WIN Health Institute.

Mountain Powersports also is ranked in the top 20 Polaris dealers in the United States for sales. Out of the 2,600 Polaris dealers in the U.S., Mountain Powersports ranks it the top 100 for sales of ATVs and snowmobiles. Mountain Powersports is looking for a larger location for their dealership due to the companys growth.
Qittle has new COO
Gary L. Deines, 57, has been appointed chief operating officer of Qittle, a marketing company that serves area businesses.In his new role of COO, Deines will be responsible for integrating the marketing, software development, and technology service areas of the company.
Qittle helps businesses create, customize and manage a mobile marketing initiative. It has signed up numerous clients, including MindBody Software, Aspen Skiing Co., Snowmass Village, High Tower Agency and The Aspen Club & Spa.
Realtors gain designation
Thirty-two local real estate brokers were recently awarded the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) designation. They include Trish Adam, Audrey Ahumada, Ryan Anslyn, Scott Bayens, Cheryl Bentley, Melanie Brown, Kathleen DeWolfe, Dusty Diaz, Nancy DiBiaggio, Jana Dillard, Jennifer Dunbar, Annemie Dundon, Tim Estin, Jan Faurer, Holly Goldstein, Hetta Heath, Sue Hess, Andrea Karson, Brian Keleher, Bleu L'Estrange, Hedy Longworth, Lucy Nichols, Barbara Owen, Kevin Owen, Karen Peirson, Nancy Quisenberry, John Reichert, Craig Scott, Vince Simonetti, Kimberly Welz, Rod Woelfle, and Sarah Woelfle.To earn the designation, realtors must attend a minimum of 90 hours of classroom instruction, covering a variety of subjects.
