ASPEN — Aspen Mountain picked up 10 inches of new snow from the winter storm that blew through Colorado on Saturday.

Aspen Highlands reported 8 inches of new snow on Sunday morning; Snowmass and Buttermilk both had 6 inches.

Sunlight Mountain Resort near Glenwood Springs reported 3 inches.

Elsewhere around the state, Wolf Creek in southwest Colorado picked up 18 inches of snow and Beaver Creek reported 10 inches. Steamboat reported 8 inches, Crested Butte and Vail picked up 7 inches, Telluride got 6 inches and Breckenridge had 5 inches.

More snow is likely Sunday in the southwest part of the state, according to the National Weather Service, but Aspen’s forecast doesn’t call for significant new accumulation again until Tuesday.

Sunday’s forecast for Aspen calls for partly sunny skies with just a 20 percent chance of snow in the morning. Highs of 10 to 20 are expected, with wind-chill readings of 8 to 18 below in the morning.

Mostly sunny skies are expected Monday morning, with clouds and a 30 percent chance of snow in the afternoon. Highs of 15 to 25 and a morning wind chill of 6 to 16 below are forecast, according to the weather service.

Snow is back in the forecast Tuesday, with 3 to 5 inches of accumulation and highs of 15 to 25. Snow is also likely Tuesday night, according to the weather service.
