ASPEN — Aspen and Snowmass offer a variety of hotel and lodging options, along with condos and private homes that are available to book for stays.
Hotel options vary from the luxury quarters of The Little Nell, the St. Regis Resort and historic Hotel Jerome, to the Hyatt Grand Aspen, a timeshare condominium hotel, and the small, but upscale Hotel Lenado.
The resort has lost a number of its family-run ski lodges — the Holland House, Skier’s Chalet and Boomerang Lodge, to name a few, and the Limelite Lodge is in the midst of redevelopment into new accommodations that the Paas family, longtime operators of the Limelite, plan to operate as a mid-priced hotel.
Those looking for a unique lodge experience will find it in places such as the Chalet Lisl, Hearthstone House, Hotel Durant, Hotel Lenado, L’Auberge d’Aspen, St. Moritz and Tyrolean Lodge. If you’re hoping to book a room in one of the town’s historic Victorians, check out the Little Red Ski Haus or the Snow Queen Lodge.
Visitors won’t find the national budget motel chains in Aspen, though. Head down the valley to Carbondale to find a Days Inn and a Comfort Inn.
Rates at local estblishments vary greatly by the season, length of stay, availability of last-minute deals and the “swanky factor.”
