ASPEN — The Wheeler Film Series will present four films in June.

The month of movies opens Sunday and Monday, June 1-2, with “Flight of the Red Balloon” at Aspen's Wheeler Opera House. The French fantasy, by Chinese director Hsiao-hsien Hu and starring Juliette Binoche, is a remake of the 1956 Academy Award-winning short, “The Red Balloon.”

The French comedy “Priceless,” starring Audrey Tautou as a gold-digger who mistakenly becomes involved with a bartender, is set for Tuesday and Wednesday, June 3-4.

“Smart People,” a comic romance starring Dennis Quaid as a widowed professor, shows Thursday and Friday, June 5-6, and the calendar closes Saturday and Sunday, June 7-8, with “Blade Runner: The Final Cut,” a recent, updated version of Ridley Scott’s 1982 science fiction classic.

All films show at 7:30 p.m., along with 4:30 p.m. matinees for films scheduled for Saturday and Sunday screenings.
